Port forwarding for alarm system

I recently had a new alarm system installed and was told that in order to access it on my mobile when out of the home and not on wi-fi, I had to forward port and was given a port number.

i have tried to do it by accessing hub on line.

i have seen different ways, some talk about LAN , but i am not sure what device i am looking for- alarm or my mobile?

other method say set up custom service, ( which I did) , then firewalls which I did for inbound but not clear what to put in destination LAN or source address? And how to deal with LAN point?

or is this wrong and there is a short cut?

Hi @gmchris

To setup the port forwarding properly you need to create a custom service and input the port number you were given by the alarm company. Then in the rules section create a rule which for the source is black, service is the custom service you created earlier & the destination is the alarm system which should appear in the list of connected devices.

If you are still struggling please post some screenshots of the problem areas and the forum can try and help.
