Poor broadband

The overall broadband service over the past few months has been very poor, my daughter struggles to watch her Firestick in her bedroom when other devices are connected, we even had to buy a secondary plug in extension router to boost the signal upstairs, we live in a small 2 bedroom house, my daughters bedroom is 20 feet from the Sky router in our sitting room. I'm out of contract now anyway so we will be leaving Sky very soon, the internet service is very poor.

@Roberto47 Streaming video does use quite a lot of bandwidth (up to 30Mb/s in UHD) so if you have a long partial fibre line and therefore a slow connection that could be the issue. What speed does the service checker in the My Sky app show? If the speed to the hub is the issue switching isp wont sort that if your new service uses the same phone line unfortunately..Watching in HD can help as that drops the bandwidth required by over a half.

Firesticks are often an issue simply due to the fact they plug in behind TVs which contain lots of metal that blocks wifi signals Amazon used to include a short HDMI cable with some firesticks because of this issue but you can buy one quite easily.
