Poor WiFi

The last month the Wi-Fi signal has become unstable and very slow 

I have done the remote check and all says good but it definitely is not good. 
please sky help. 
im wondering if the router has been remotely turned down to promote purchase of sky wifi max product. ??? 
is this possible?
