I have been sent a WiFi extender as since signing up with sky broadband a month ago I cannot get signal all around my home as promised.
It arrived in a box with an instruction to simply plug it in and scan a QR code.
Done that
No information available as to what I am supposed to do now.
As Sky don't want to provide me with the necessary information and rely on their customers to solve each other's issues does anyone have an answer before I drive myself insane trying to speak to a human on the telephone.

Thanks Mark. Your information was helpful. It's the product that's not.
I have been all around the house with it. It's now about 10 foot from the router and connects intermittently. The rooms we are struggling with are a further 30 feet away. Dont think it's ever going to work. The router, being 3 foot from the tv, doesn't always allow us to stream programs, yet when sky checks, they say the signal is fine.
Constantly having to re connect devices. Don't know what the answer is.

The SR213 router SKy are currently shipping seems to be very poor. These forums are littered with complaints about it's WiFi performance. I've turned off the WiFi completely on mine & use a separate mesh system. The £4 pm cost of the Max Pods would be better spent towards a mesh system of your own.
Cheapest solution in the short term would probably be to buy the previous SR203 router from Ebay. Like BT's kit, Sky's is loaned so sales are questionable, but there's plenty around.
You could solve the TV issue by connecting an ethernet cable but that won't help elsewhere.

Thank you. As the person i finally managed to speak to on Saturday told me this was completely free of charge i was willing to give it a go but if I am having to pay extra each month I may as well go back to ee. Theirs was slightly more reliable.
Hubby has no Internet what so ever in his office now since connecting the extender.
We did previously buy an extender set at around £150 but my son set it up and it's since been removed. We shall have to try to reinstate it.

I obviously can't vouch for what you've been told but the Pods are advertised as a chargeable upgrade, just like BT/EE's Complete WiFi.
Judging by the sheer number of complaints on these forums, I would imagine the helpdesk is swamped with similar. Maybe they're throwing out the Pods rather than address the actual issue?

Could be. I shall be giving them a call once I can shake the migraine i have today.
Thanks

For router to television set over that distance, the suggested workaround would be ethernet cable.
