Personal Safety and Phone Failure

My dads phone isn't working, his personal car alarm is linked to it and is therefore not working, I'm worried he's not safe and I live miles away.  No one answering phone at sky as its past 9pm, help?

In what way is his phone not working, are you saying it is not connected to his Sky Broadband connection ?

Unfortunately no-one posting to this forum can provide any particular help, and domestic broadband really isn't robust enough to be considered a safety system.  Once the typical basic troubleshooting has taken place (unplug/replug all connections etc) it's the remit of external engineers to investigate, and that doesn't happen outside normal business hours.
