Paying for giga and only getting 350mbps

Why am I only getting 350mbps when I'm paying for a giga?

What device are you using to measure the speed and what speedtester are you using

 

Best using a device etherneted to the hub and test it on fast.com

I think it's something to do with the sky hub. I have been reading that they are not great

Speed is only 'guaranteed' as far as the Hub: WiFi is always zero Mbs after going through a few walls.

 

Sky Hubs, like any other ISP router, are built to a fairly limited budget.  Realistically Gigafast broadband is intended to provide 'enough' bandwidth for multiple devices rather than peak headline speed to a single one: for that you'd really want ethernet cable.

Measuring speed from my phone on speed test on Google and I have a WiFi speed test app as well
