Pay for 150mbs, get about 70mbs.

Just over a week ago I had Sky Full Fibre BB installed but since then its reached at best 85mbs, at worst 45mbs using the Sky wiFi checker. I'm paying for the 150mbs package with Sky Max router.

Last night I called the help centre and after a 1hr 22mins call and numerous switching off and on I was no further forward.  The call operative did their best but was clearly just passing messages about restarting hub & ONT from the network team. I sent them numerous photos of the router, cabling and ONT box and in the end they eventually got rid of me by sending me a new Sky Max router which has, of course made no difference whatever. So, my questions to the forum are.

- Any suggestions of what else I can try to get the speed I'm paying for?

- Given that BT have previously achieved c120mbs FTTP should I just ditch Sky?

- Is the 'speed guarentee' just fake marketing?

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Ofcom and the ASA typically rather disapprove of that kind of thing.

The 'guarantee' is actually of a refund and early exit without penalty if speed isn't delivered.

The assorted 'WiFi Guarantees' are different to the Guaranteed Minimum Download Speed.
