Internet was having the commonly reported issue of dropping out regularly. Worked for 3 days and then we get this packet count and the internet is running incredibly slowly.
Been with Sky for 3 weeks and had 3 days of smooth sailing wifi.
Any advice on this would be great but can't imagine our RxPkts should be over 500k?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Matt+Dunlop assume you have a fibre feed to your home so the stats dont tell us a lot apart from that the hub restarted 14 minutes before and the WAN connection has not dropped in that period. If the hub is rebooting spontaenously that points to it being faulty (the lights on the front go out and come back over 4 minutes or so) and needs replacing.
The only other fact I can see is that only wifi devices were connected so your issue could be simply poor wifi low speeds on fibre connections are often caused poor wifi. Sky only guarantee speeds to the hub so any tests need to be done over a gigabit ethernet link or the main suspect will be slow wifi. If testing make sure only the device running the test is using bandwidth. Use a tester like Ookla rather then Fast, com which seem tombe unreliable on faster lines.
The packet counts are simply the number of packets transmitted and received. When the system boots there is an exchange of information between Sky's servers and the hub which does not get sent out to devices which is likely to explain the difference. Dont worry about traffic levels all Sky broadband products are unlimited.
Wifi issues are common if the issue is that and simply ISP provided routers strugglecto give fast wifi coverage in many homes. There is a large market forcsuitablecsystems but beforecsplashing out consider if your thecapps you run on your devices can make use of fast speeds many can't.

Hey Chrisee!
Thanks for answer. So our internet was absolutely fine, we were getting a consistent 100+ download and its now sitting around 50. The only visible change is the packets.
These have continued to rise constantly and are now sitting at around 11 million?
