We had our broadband connected up this morning, it all worked fine until around an hour ago when the connection cut out.
I have checked and the PON light is a solid red colour. The devise has power with a green light on both the Power and Lan.
I have gone through all the trouble shooting over and over and get nowhere.
can anyone help?

PON is 'passive optical network': anything other than green typically means there's a fault in the optical circuit somewhere external to your address, which will need the system maintainer (Openreach or Eircom) to investigate.
