No Internet since last night (2/10/24)
And have 2 sons who work from home! 2G of data on my sky mobile account just doesn't cut it!! Having such issues in this day and age is inexcusable especially from such a massive company....will def be looking to change supplier once our contract ends now.

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

No domestic ISP can possibly guarantee continual uninterrupted service: the UK telecoms network has far too many single points of failure for that. Any other Openreach ISP faces exactly the same challenges with poles, ducts, cabling, roadside cabinets, exchange equipment and upstream network infrastructure.

In that case @Mrsbatty there is nothing you can do but what until the outage has been fixed by Openreach. You might qualify for a compensation credit once it has been repaired but this depends on when your first reported the issue to Sky:
