Openreach wrong address registration

Hi,


I am moving into a new property. I want to get Sky broadband. Unfortunately, Openreach made a mistake in registering my address and registered with the wrong postcode. They have provided me with the wrong postcode and the Network Addressing Key. They also informed me that it will take some time for the address issue to be fixed. Is it possible for me to get internet connection with this address?

If so, how long did it take, and how did you get it resolved?

 

In the same situation, unfortunately.. openreach maintain it's sky that needs to correct the address, and sky referring us to openreach to do it ..

I have the same problem. Sky have the correct address but openreach have the wrong location for that address and send their surveyors and engineers to another address in a different postcode. I have had five visits from openreach in 3 months and each time have been told they cannot upgrade my broadband at my address and cannot maintain guaranteed speeds owing to deteriorating local cabling issues. Sky have given up and not helping any further. Am switching to another service provider to see if they can assist. Next visit from openreach scheduled for 10th April 2026. Think I'm heading for another failure.
