@Lord-Help-us it has been explained multiple times how fibre line installs work as part of the £20bn national roll out by Openreach.  We can't  change those facts to fit your interpretation so suggest we agree to differ.

Okay it was a multi-million roll out, who cares! All we wanted was to have it installed, fitted, up and runnnng, is this so unusual, so out of the ordinary, we were pating around £40 pm plus phone bills, SKY Blew lets says a £2000+ plus deal for a lousy piece of extra wire worth £2-00, Include us out!

Openreach does not carry out customised ethernet cable installation.

@Lord-Help-us Sky haven't blown anything, you've got an over inflated sense of self entitlement, coupled with an inability to grasp that your stance is wrong, you've thrown your toys out the pram all for the sake of a couple of quid and now can't stop shouting woe is me because you incorrectly feel hard done by.

Re: Openreach Put Router on short lead, we cannot reach router?

This is an interesting thread/read....  I always understood that Openreach works on behalf of ISPs and are independent, and do  not offer a bespoke service of where to fit the ONT.

Having said, this, I have read on other threads that politeness, a cup of tea and a biscuit can have an Openreach engineer go above and beyond their remit to ONT installations.

https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/full-fibre-broadband-installation-checklist#accordion-b43...

I am a cup half  full person, vs a  cup half empty... so when Openreach installed my ONT box it is in the hallway it is in a less than ideal position. But a bit of furniture creativity and a 3rd party mesh set up means no unsightly wires or ugly hub on display... if I were at home, I would take a picture or 2 to show how a solution could have been found.
