Openreach - FTP for neighbours but not me!
So.. early this year my neighbours all got fibre to the premisis but my house, being number 1 and right at the start of the street apparently is connected to a different pole. I've been waiting for the pole to back of my house being upraded but just got an email from Openreach saying my house wouldnt be upgraded until the end of 2026 or the start of 2027... [Removed] why leave one house out of the upgrade. Anyway, rant over GRRRR

@Curr946. All of which has nothing to do with Sky, it's an Openreach issue.

Annoying as it is you've answered your own question really.

Yeah... I'm aware.
Was having a rant.... opening a discussion to see how many other daft decisions open reach makes.

Probably a reason why Openreach don't have a Community forum.

31st December 2026 is the current target end point of the national FTTP rollout, so it's the default quoted in all Openreach communication where there's no confirmed earlier date. This doesn't mean it applies to any particular address.

In my area there is a flurry of activity from Openreach & it's contractors laying new fibre cables to the poles, there is also a lot of work on various roads to either install new poles or clear blocked ducts, so although OR show end of 2026 for my area, it's likely going to be a lot sooner (I hope) 🙂
