Hi,
I'm having a bit of a merry go-round on trying to get my address listed properly with Openreach on the OR Database - with the FTTP rollout and me needing to change provider to get a Static IP address for work, things are a seemingly impossible.
I can only get FTTC services, I know this for a fact. Theres wayleaves etc required to get Fibre into the building which is going to take a long time as there's a management company involved and all that fun, and Openreach have said its bottom of their list in terms of rollout.
When i put my address in the services checker I can only avail of FTTP because of the way its been built on the OR DB. My address is a gold key, but its listed as a house number, as such, ie
4 Old Street, Town, Postcode.
To actually get the service I need (FTTC), I need to use the Silver Address key, which I need someone in SKy to do an ORDI to do this to get it updated. A couple of my neighbours (in the same block) have their addresses built as the following below as a gold key, which is what I require to enable me to order a new service.
Apartment 1, New Flats Block 1-6, Old Street, Town, Postcode
They also have their address on the ORDB built as it being as 1 Old Street, Town, Postcode, where it states they can get FTTP but all of us in 4 different blocks know this is invalid information and not possible at present, and would be lucky to get it even this year.
Been on the phone a couple of times about this and just goes nowhere.
Thanks
Dave

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@davejh001 I don't think Sky will help if you are leaving them, you may need to raise the issue with whichever new provider you decide to move to.

Thank you for the response @daveNOS
I have been onto another provider and they informed me as Sky is my current provider, they are the ones that have to do this, as if i cancelled my service with sky, I would be left in limbo with no services until the problem is rectified, which from reading from other forums, could take a while!
