No Sky Broadband product guarantees 24Mbs WiFi.  Are you referring to the Guaranteed Minimum Download Speed or the WiFi Guarantee?

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

The only guaranteed speed estimate by an ISP would be the router sync speed to the internet🤔

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

@Exiled-in-HH Sky now guarantee throughput speed and not sync speed, thus the speed shown when testing in MySky will be throughput. Showing how fast your devices can connect to the internet and not the speed to the router.

To the OP, as already stated Sky's WiFi guarantee will differ to your guaranteed minimum download speed. WiFi is the technology your devices use to connect to your router and will usually be slower than a wired connection.  If you think that you might have an issue you can login to the MySky app to run checks on your broadband. If a fault is found you may be guided to find a solution to fix it.

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

@Anonymous what they can not guarantee is a WiFi connection speed within a property of arbitrary construction ... anything absolute whether they want to call it throughput or the sync speed stops at the router🤔

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

@Exiled-in-HHOf course wifi speed cant be guaranteed as there are too many variables to consider such as bandwidth utilisation, interference, device limitation, including 2.4ghz vs 5ghz, and wifi being half duplex.
But Sky do guarantee a throughput speed now and not the speed to the hub. This is difficult to maintain amd will fluctuate significantly. I can add that a lot of customers have been flagged for slow speed based on the system looking at throughput at a given time, when sync speed has remained spot on.

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

The only Wi-Fi guaranteed is 3Mbps in every room for Boost customers, 10 Mbps for WiFi Max customers on FTTC and 25 Mbps for WiFi Max FTTP customers on ultra fast 1 upwards.

Re: Not getting guaranteed wifi speed

@Anonymous an additional over priced subscription service ... to receive devices that cost little to buy😉

All of those speeds are inadequate to support Sky Stream devices🤔

And those aren't actually 'guaranteed' at all: the 'WiFi Guarantee' is of a months broadband subscription refund and early exit without penalty if the speed cannot be achieved.

As we've been commenting for about eight years, it's a very unfortunate choice of product name (and 'Broadband Boost' doesn't boost broadband; )
