No signal upstairs

Had new line installed for fibre optic broadband with upgraded package . Called Sky customer service as no WiFi or connectivity upstairs. Got told we only give line, WiFi not guaranteed, will have to buy boosters separately, which may/may not help.. Nothing they can do, even when I am not  getting WiFi in house . Not sure what I am paying them for ?
