No internet

Hi

my internet has been down Christmas Day and now Boxing Day! I have tried to phone and the lady I spoke too was obviously working from home. All I could hear was her children screaming and dogs barking! was very hard to

hear her. She said she couldn't sort the problem. I pay a lot of money for Sky and not having any internet or tv over Christmas really isn't good !!

@Kelbelx3 unfortunately as much equipment fails on Christmas day as it does on any other day and sorry its your connection is down but it is just bad luck. If the line is faulty it requires Openreach to get one of their engineers to check whats broken and get it fixed. With domestic lines that work is only done on working days so should be pucked up tomorrow but they will be busy.

Sky's lines are open over Christmas but not surprisingly a lot of their staff do work remotely which when their whole family is around can be noisy but your call was taken.

Realistically a service with regular staffing over the holiday week and 'normal' maintenance working hours at weekends and Bank Holidays would cost at least four times as much from any dedicated business ISP. Domestic broadband has essentially no service level guarantee and, unless you choose an ISP which specifically offers it (at extra cost), no failover to cellular data.
