No internet for 4 days now
Hellou,
I've been without internet for 4 days now.
Service Checker says there is an outage in my area -
Outage in your area?Yes
Service impacted: Broadband
Outage start date: 12 May 2025
We know there's an outage in your area. You don't need to do anything - we're working on getting you back up and running. It usually takes a couple of days to fix things like this but might be sooner.
When it's fixed, your service will automatically start working again.
I can't get a single bit of information on what the actual issue is, I can't speak to a human to at least have a prediction of when my internet will come back. I'm trying to call two different numbers, both of them were first just telling me they are aware there is an issue and that they are working to get it fixed ASAP (and I was able to request for a SMS once the problem is sorted). Now it just says the service is down, and I can't get anything trying to call.
Because I can't reach a human, I have no idea how I can ask for the compensation since I can't let them know, I have no way to report it.
Does anyone know another way to communicate? Or a way I can find out through.. Openreach or something to actually get a time estimate of when my problem will be fixed? I work from home and need to be online, and having zero prediction of when my problem will be fixed is just unmanageable.
Thanks!

Re: No internet for 4 days now
@ThisIsVicky frustratingly even if you spoke to Sky they can tell you very little more. Area outages are normally in the Openreach network and their engineers will be working to resolve it but it is normally impossible to gave anything more than a guess as to how long that work will take. Theese outages are normally due to damage to the network caused by someone cutting an underground cable by digging in the wrong place, a vdhicles taking out a street cabinet or a pole.
However do not worry you will be due some compenation which is automatic and does not need claiming this kicks inaferc2 full working days after the report see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com.
