Internet down, based in Neath, South Wales. Followed the online help and reset but still not working. Green light is off on the router.

Thanks, I just phoned the Sky helpline and there is a wider problem in my area. They said "openreach" are working on it urgently but could be up to 2 days.

The standard Openreach target time to fix individual faults in domestic broadband is two working days. They report to Ofcom that they meet this target around 85% of the time.
An area outage would receive higher priority, but time to fix depends on the nature of the problem: replacing a roadside cabinet wiped out by a vehicle impact takes rather longer than swapping an ethernet switch in a telephone exchange.
