No broadband since 6th December

My broadband has been down since 6th December -the night of the storm, I have rang sky numerous times and been told they will have it fixed but it still doesn't work. I need it for work. Anyone else with the same problem

@Finbar12

Openreach are responsible for repairs and unfortunately they will have been inundated with calls for service after the recent weather events. I'm afraid needing it for work brings no additional help as Sky Broadband discussed here is a domestic service with standard response times.

The following link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).

Re: No broadband since 6th December

That's not much help to me, every time I phone given the run around, I'm in the country side and imagine there's only a few houses affected so probably will be last on the list for repairs, the broadband line is literally sitting in the road on the ground! I will be leaving sky if it isn't dealt with soon.

Apart from going to the likes if Virgin and City Fibre most other providers are also on the Openreach network so you would have the same issue.

Re: No broadband since 6th December

The link which you have given me for auto compensation is for a UK website, is this auto compensation available to residents of Ireland as I cannot find information on auto compensation for Ireland, can you send the correct link please

@Finbar12 unfortunately as far as I know it isnt - the compensation is something the UK regulator Ofcom introduced.
