Re: No WiFi again
The phone lines are open apart from Sky Ireland so you're no doubt you're in a longish queue.
The extremely hot weather won’t be helping but use this link to check if there are any issues locally that may identify a known fault which could be affecting multiple households ~
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
Its always worth rechecking it as the Service Checker doesn’t necessarily disclose a problem immediately and there is up to an hours delay before it picks up a lost connection so we tend to advise trying it again later.
If there aren't any then try running the line test here
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
Once completed, if it reports back that all is okay click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.
If you’re still having problems you may need to report it to Sky. The easiest way is to dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline if it’s still working.

Working from home?; Sky broadband discussed on here is a domestic service and whilst Sky accept it's fine for customers working from home to use it, they won’t receive additional or quicker support.

Re: No WiFi again
I've been having the same problem for months just connection drops out have to reset box and router.
Contacted Sky which are no help and tell u basically to turn everything on and off again.
seems to be almost every weekend it drops out or over night
they mention a booster but had one and did nothing.
mum seriously thinking of cancelling as the service is just getting worse and worse and nobody in tech knows how to solve it.
you check how your broad band is doing which alsways says it's good which is a lie.
for me other than getting broadband else where is dont think I can stay with sky much longer there service and prices are just getting worse

Re: No WiFi again
If you have one booster and are still haviong issues with the wifi signal then you might need a second or even a third one so have you mentioned this to Sky when speaking to them ?

Re: No WiFi again
Thanks but they charge you for every booster you have and I'm sorry I live in a small house if there router is not fit for purpose it shouldn't be used. They make money by giving you inadequate products to fob u off with boosters which cost you month for the privileged.
Sky is becoming a joke with there tech which is not fit for purpose and this seems to be happening g to a lot of people

Re: No WiFi again
That don't charge for every booster as these are loaned to you once you have Wifi Max on your account at £6 per month so you can have a maximum of 3 of these are I believe that when you order a second and even a third it requires an engineer visit to see them up for you so if that is the case once they leave your wifi issues should be fixed to your satisfaction.
