Hi All,
I've just moved into my new home with my family and none of us can find a telephone socket. We've moved our existing package from our old house to the new so was hoping for an easy switch over..........that's where things get a little odd
I've got an engineer booked and is coming out set up my Sky Broandband and Sky Talk in 10 days time and I'm stressing that they won't be able to carry out the work if they don't have access to a telephone socket for the router to run off.
In my previous house the router was plugged into the router. Am I missing something?
Many Thanks in advance
Matt

What speed/package have you opted for
Enter you new address below and post the table and notes after removing your address from the image will help determine how openreach will approach the install

The national rollout of full fibre infrastructure means that wherever possible, new service is provisioned over an optical connection, even where the product ordered is in a Superfast speed band, and that means the presence or absence of a copper phone socket isn't relevant. The result of the link which @cookiemonsteruk posted will indicate if that's going to be the case at your address.

Is the house a new building? Do you have a grey box outside any ? And a small white box anywhere in the house? You might be set up for full fibre to the property

Thanks @Chrisee , this should show it now.
If I don't have a phone socket in the house will Sky/Open Reach engineer install one for me or is there another means of connecting a phone line and broadband service?

It is possible there is already an external connection point with a working line they can use otherwise they will have to run a new line from the nearest distribution point. That is pretty simple if the supply is from a pole less so if it is underground so there is a chance that the engineer wont be able to complete the job in one visit. If a dig is required that will take a while to get done but hopefully it is straightforward nobody can be certain until the engineer sees the actual position.
