No Internet

lost internet around 12:10am and have been unable to connect since, the app said NOTHING and has done until around 15 minutes ago where it said my hub had no connection at all. we was trying to figure it out for an hour before the app even said that, very irritating to say the least.

In view of the time you’ve posted it’s worth mentioning that broadband issues between midnight and 7am could be essential overnight maintenance taking place. It is carried out at those times to minimise disruption and there is no advance warning provided. See this pinned post at the top of the Broadband board from Sky which could be relevant any night this happens…
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Important-Notice-Scheduled-Broadband-Maintenance/td-p/5151847...

If you have an ONT box displaying a red light, see this further advice…

This link provides information about the coloured lights you may see on the various hubs

Hopefully it’s back up and running before 7am. If it’s not, try restarting your hub or post back in this thread and we can try to offer additional advice.

Re: No Internet

ah i see, well i'll keep a check once 7am hits. it's just weird because the wifi was acting funny prior to midnight, like around 9pm. which is why i didn't think it was maintence, so in retrospect my wifi hasn't been "on" for around 8 hours.. but i shall keep an eye out on it. thank you for replying

Wi-Fi and broadband are different. Wi-Fi is the wireless connection between your hub and your devices. Broadband is the internet connection provided by your Internet Service Provider (Sky).

If it stil, doesn't work after 7am use this link to check if there are any outages or issues nearby that may identify a known fault, perhaps affecting multiple households ~
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

NOTE: The Service Checker doesn’t necessarily disclose a problem immediately and there is up to an hours delay before it picks up a lost connection so perhaps try it again later.

If there aren't any then try running the line test here
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is okay click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to contact Sky to report it. The easiest way is to dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline if it’s still working.

Red light on ONT?; See this link ~

Working from home?; Sky broadband being discussed here is a domestic service and whilst it's fine for those customers working from home to use it, they won’t receive additional or quicker support.

Re: No Internet

yeah i know the wifi and broadband stuff, i was just tired as it was 4am. but its past 8am now and still no wifi, the broadband hub has no connection to sky whatsoever so cannot gain any wifi from it. i'm going to call Sky now and report it to hopefully see if it fixes for me and possibly anyone else soon
