I've just moved into a newly converted block of flats and the postcode is brand new (but registered with Openreach and Royal mail). I'm still seeing when I look on Sky, or any other service provider, that there is no availability in my area.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a time frame where I can expect things to update and work? Silver Address was mentioned but as the postcode is updated now, should it be more straightforward?
All other tenants experiencing the same thing whilst trying to work from home...
Any help appreciated:)

In the UK for any Openreach ISP to be able to offer service the address has to appear on the BT Wholesale Availability Checker.
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Thank you, the address appears followed by this message:
"We cannot determine broadband availability at this location. This may be a new address to which connectivity is not yet complete"
Do you know how long I should expect to wait?

Unfortunately that's pretty much impossible to know. Is there any evidence of broadband infrastructure at the property, or information from the developer or owner?

I wouldn't know what to look for. As the flats used to be offices I would guess so but the whole cohort of tenants are having the same problem where service providers tell us to go elsewhere.

It would be really irresponsible of a developer not to make provision for high speed internet access these days: they should have worked with Openreach to specify ducting, internal cabling and potentially distribution points too.
Unfortunately there's nothing an individual ISP can do until the building appears on the BT Wholesale system, and I suspect that's not going to happen without a survey being done.
