New wifi issues

I recently switched to sky gigabit and ive been getting a lot lag spikes in games compared to when i had the same setup with virgin. My ps5 is a floor above the router and i have a booster on the same floor. I live in a detached home. Im not sure what information i need to give but i understand wifi wont ever be as good as ethernet but there is a significant drop off compared to virgin i had previously. My ping jumps to around 80 and even if it goes to 30 games feel very jittery and laggy.

@Ibrahim5 nothing obviously wrong with the stats but as you yourself say playing games over wifi is never a good idea. You mention a booster unless that is a Sky unit that itself could be part of your issues as it has the potential to interfere with the Sky hub's wifi if its using the same or adjacent wifi channel.

Sky's own boosters shouldnt cause interference and have their place in limited circumstances but can and do introduce other issues including increased latency as they are effectively repeaters. If Ethernet is impractical powerline adapters could be a better solution or buying a proper home wifi mesh system that trades outright banwidth for stability.

If you have multiple simultaenous users of your network another potential cause which is that Sky hubs just like Virgin's offering are built to a cost and cannot prioritise gaming traffic over lower priority traffic as they lack QOS which you can get on third party routers designed for gaming.
