May be able to help with a bit more information
Why do you have a new router? Which one is it? SR203, SR213?
Assuming its the SR203, then the Internet light should be green, if its off then the router has not connected to the Internet, usually this will be on after the power and Wi-Fi lights have come on, then go orange as it trys to connect then green when connected.
If you have just upgraded to a fibre service then the router needs to be plugged into the ONT ethernet port and then to port 4 on the back of you router, marked WAN.
If it is a replacment and you were are on an ADSL service, the router will be plugged into your telephone socket, the cable from which should be connected in to the purple socket on the back of your router. It is possible to plug it into the ITALIA/ROI socket, but this wont work!
