New fibre installation

Last week on 19th Feb I had a new fibre install. A couple of weeks prior Openreach had installed a new fibre optic cable from the pole to grey box outside.

Sky engineer fitted an ONT box and optic cable to the grey box.

We had a red light on the PON/broadband.

Sky engineer tested his wire that was fine but Openreach cable had a load of cracks so there was no signal. He said they hadnt tested it as he had no readings recorded.

He had to reinstall the old cable necessitating another hole drilled through the wall and temporarily fitted the old box so we could have internet.

He said he had reported it and Opereach would re attend to fit a new cable. They would test it and remove the old temp socket  and cable that was left dangling.

Yesterday I had a text of Sky stating everything was now active.

On checking the red light was now green so I connected the ethernet cable and swapped over to full fibre no issues 🤞

HOWEVER

The old cable has not been removed nor has the temp socket that dangling on two thin wires.

So my question is how do I get somebody to remove this as promised?

My contract I guess is with Sky but I just cant speak to anybody and virtual assistant is usless in this case.

Re: New fibre installation

@GCROSS You are correct sky does need to organise it all for you, dial 150 from your connected landline phone, that is the best way to do it!

Re: New fibre installation

@GCROSS You do have a landline, there is not a sky system that does not have sky Talk as part of the package! See this linked post below and follow!
