New customer

Hi, my broadband goes live on Monday, but there's no sign of my hub being dispatched. It's now weekend. Can't see it arriving any time before I go live. Has anyone's hub arrived late, and what did they do? Thanks in advance.

@Sick_of_Waiting Yes, i used my EE Smarthub+ connected on the sky service, they changed over 3.00am so was well asleep at that time, it was well after midday when i eventually swapped the router/hub over, once sky is on though there is NO going back to the EE after that point!

@Sick_of_Waiting It may still arrive, anytime upto midnight for it, have you had any tracking information or seen anything on the site in your order section. Or Your Royal Mail parcel from SKY is on its way as an e-mail to you?

If you also have a connected system from another ISP it may continue to work on the sky connection until you put a sky hub on!

Re: New customer

Thank you for replying. I've had nothing, I did receive the TV streaming puck yesterday (pretty quick), but there's been no movement, updates or anything for the hub. As I'm still with EE, would I be able to still use their hub if the Sky hub arrives late?

Re: New customer

@Sick_of_Waiting No problems, hope it all goes smooth! Had zero issues myself, straight fibre to fibre change over, new hub on, it did it's FW updates, re-booted and off it went! Old SR203 black Sky Broadband Hub, i insisted on that one, having none off this you must use an app to do anything like the new EE and Sky are! Had enough with the EE Smarthub+ at least there was some web control, with sky NONE, it's all app and that is JUST not for me!

Re: New customer

The EE app drove me mad, hence changing over to Sky.  It seems so much easier to navigate around.  My EE signal dropped really low and cut off. It was the power adapter that was the problem. Had to wait nearly a week for it to arrive.  It made no difference when it arrived.  Funnily enough, since leaving the signal has improved 😁 I'm still not going back. Forward is my way.

Re: New customer

@Sick_of_Waiting Same for me EE did a FW update mid Feb to there Router and killed a perfectly good working system, would not listen, Told me to go, notice 5th Mar gone 10th Mar back to sky, they are clueless and still have all the same problems. Connected up to sky and NOT one single issue since back, but i do use all my own Asus Routers and Extenders, did keep the old SR on for 8 weeks to make sure the service was fine, it was so retired the sky back to there boxes and Asus direct on the Fibre! FF500 and working all the time, speed dips when the Network get's real busy but that's all down to OR and the connection!
