New customer. Cables missing?

Iv just moved to a new home and signed up for Sky. In the box there is a hub and a Ethernet cable, nothing else. On following the instructions it says there should be a grey cable to attach to the phone socket? Iv attached the Ethernet cable to the box on the wall but nothing has happened
