New Sky Router Voice Light not working

Brand new Sky router received today.  Plugged in and all lights come on except the voice light. If I plug my new phone into the back of the router it does not work (of course I suppose), if I plug the phone into the wall socket it works perfectly. The internet works  and the Wi Fi works. Tried the usual on and off stuff. Help please
