New Fibre 900 User
New to Sky Fibre and the actual service received has been nothing short of shocking.
Constant drop outs , i mean every device drops at least 6 - 10 times a day.
Speed received is around 25% of the max....on wired., wifi is just unusable
No help from sky as they say all good when they test, it must be my set up .
Router must be the issue , my previous router was an ASUS and had constant connection, no drop outs and better speeds on non fibre than im getting now .
Going to sacrifice my phone and change the router , if it gets better , fab , failing that , i will be cancelling and moving to a better provider.
As an aside all my family mobiles are on sky mobile and this seems to be just as bad, very poor service as well. Dropped calls are the norm, just wont pick up 5g consistently , coverage is abysmal.
Thought combining everything with sky to save a bit would be the way, how wrong was I !!
Quick update now lost all service to an external outage , says will be fixed within 2 days .....in 12 years with previous provder , never had any issues. !!! You could not make this up...
Its not even lunchtime yet , what else could go wrong

Re: New Fibre 900 User
@paulmadscot sounds like there is an issue with the full fibre service which while rare can still happen. Once the servicecis restored you should get the speed tomthe hub you are buying ie 600 to 900Mb/s. That msy not however resolve your WiFi issues as many people find tgey need an extender which Sky can providecif you psy for their WiFi Max service.
Sky mobile uses O2's network which can have poor coverage. Your phones etc however should be able to use WiFi calling once the Btiadband is fixed.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
