New Broadband Connection
Yesterday I setup a new Broadband Contract up with sky, the Engineer is due on the 13th Feburary but the Activation date is not until the 16th.
Does this mean I will have no internet for two full days?
What I am concerned about is my house lights work using a hub so they will not work.
Is it good idea to get a temporary hub for the 2 days or would it mess things up?
Any advise would be great.

Re: New Broadband Connection
@GenesisSing If you already have Internet with another supplier, have used the OTS with sky, then the theory is it stay's up live until sky switch you over on the activation day, sounds like you may be getting pre work done and moving over to a full fibre connection, you do not say so unknown!
No temp connection with sky, you need to take care if BB is important and needed by/before the handover, if it all goes wrong!

Re: New Broadband Connection
Hi JimM1
Thank-you for your reply/
They told me that tried to take over the line from my previous provider but they were unable to so Openreach will need to create a new active line.

Re: New Broadband Connection
@GenesisSing Sorry are you saying your previous provider refused the take over, or you are not currently connected on either a OR/CF that is Openreach or CityFibre supplied connection, if you have neither off those, then sky does have to organise a brand new connection for you, there is no choice in the matter!
You may wish to stock up with some candles, just don't be having all your eggs in the one basket relying on a hub to control everything!
