New Broadband Connection - How Quickly Can It Be Activated

Hi, I've just moved into a new house where the previous owners had Sky Broadband. I would like to get this too but trying to find out how long it would take to be installed/activated is driving me mad! Been on the phone to Sky and they are not willing to tell me unless I place an order! The previous owners said when they moved in, they were just sent a router and plugged it in and it worked, and it took a couple of days but I've been reading some people saying it takes 2 weeks!
i need to know as I work from home most days and having to go to my parents every day at the moment to get around this which isn't ideal. I also want Sky TV but that is not as urgent and can wait.
So, also wanting advice on whether I place 1 order for the whole lot or order the broadband first, get that working and then do the TV later?

Many Thanks in advance....

@SalSBar

It's a minimum of 2 weeks. My son ordered Sky Fibre broadband and Sky Q on 23 November. Broadband was activated on 17 December and Sky Q installed on 23 December.

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.
