Neighbour got full fibre || OR asked to contact Sky || Sky saying contact OR
Hello community members,
We have Sky superfast broadband 25MB down, 4MB up. We are up a hill and connected to the last telephone pole which has not been upgraded by OR to Fibre (all other ones down the road have been). Last weekend, our neighbour got Fibre with OR pulling a line from the pole down the road. I asked the engineers on site as to how and if we can get Fibre ourselves. I was informed to contact Sky and ask them put in a request as it would be possible to also pull a line for us from the pole down the road.
Today, I called Sky and was informed that there is nothing that they can do on their end and I was asked to contact OR via their online form. I checked with my neighbour, and indeed Sky offered him Fibre when he called to cancel and not renew his contract and they set the wheels in motion for the Fibre upgrade.
My question is - how can I get Sky to put in a request to OR? Or is this not possible? I really do not want to give Mr. Musk any of my money and VM is also not an option as we are up a hill. Any recommendations please as we do need faster internet.
Greetings from Coulsdon,
-Boris

Hi GD1,
Thank you.
Here are the results: First set is ours and second is that of the neighbours. I can see they are been served from a different cabinet and that is what we need.

Re: Neighbour got full fibre || OR asked to contact Sky || Sky saying contact OR
@cookiemonsteruk BT Results show WBC FTTP so I read that has being generally available? Likewise OR's own site shows the neighbour having full fibre up to 1600mbps, those are not FTTP on demand speeds.
