Nee internet

We have recently installed the new box i was sent for the wifi and my sky mini box wont connect to it and my wifi keeps going on and off on my phone with only 1/2 bars when on? This is meant to be a better wifi?

@Michelle842 if your new Sky hub's is white then there are changes to how your Sky Q boxes work. Firstly Sky Q ninis have to be connected to the main Q box not directly tonthe hub. If you have issues call Sky as you may need a Sky Q booster.

 

The reason why some of your other devices are not working as they did before is probably because they were previously connecting the wifi hotspotsxyour Sky Q boxes provided. These hotspots no longer can be used with the new hub so you may need a matched WiFi extender pod which Sky should supply if you pay for their WiFi Max package. 

In general the new hubs are poor matches for customers still on Sky Q which uses an old incompatable WiFi system which unfortunstely Sky does not explain fully. The older black hubs msybe in tgeory slower but in practice work far better with Sky Q.
