I'm moving to a new flat next month, but there is no Sky fibre at the new address. The fastest available package is less than half the speed I currently have. I don't want to leave Sky as I've been really happy with the service, but since both my wife and I work from home and are dependent on good internet I will have to look at other providers. My current contract for Ultrafast fibre ends on 4 February 2024. If I have to cancel, how much will the early termination charge be? And how do I initiate the cancellation process?

Have a read of this:

You would need to call Sky as 14 days notice is required to cancel a broadband/talk service.

I would suggest you research your options on the faster services at your new address and ca ll Sky and ask them to consider waving the charges as they cannot supply an equivelent service at thhat address.

Not to put a downer on this but waiving the early termination fee really only works if Sky can't provide any sort of service. In ths case it looks as Sky can provide a service, albeit not FTTP, it would be difficult to make a case.
The exception might be if there is an altnet that can provide the same sort of speed then there might be a valid arguemnt.
