Moving from Sky to Talk Talk implications

At the moment I am using Sky for Broadband, TV, phone and I have several sky boxes in the house which also serve as access points.

Sky engineer also installed wired connections in a couple of places and a booster to improve signal.

Quite soon I am planning to move to full fibre, and in my area this will only be available on Talk Talk via Freedom Fibre.

I am out of contract so that's not an issue.

However if I move to Talk Talk, does this mean my Sky Q boxes will no longer be able to be used as Access points?  Is it possible to retain the Sky router as an access point and do it that way?

If not what are the recommended options - will  I need to buy a mesh access point system separately from the Sky service?  Probably will stay with Sky Q for TV (as long as they offer me a reasonable deal).

Re: Moving from Sky to Talk Talk implications

Sky hub is loaned, so that will have to be returned. You skyQ box only works as access point with sky hub. You will need to buy a mesh kit, which I find works better.

@Cat1967

Q television boxes can now act as hotspots for non-Sky broadband, but only on 2.4Ghz.  This has to be switched on manually.
