My router
Model Number: SR203 is really close to the main junction box and has bog standard modem cable connected. I wondered if I get a much better cable will it help speed etc and what one should I buy? I recently bought a short cable that fitted both but didn't work at all so reckon it was the wrong one. I recently got a Sky Glass 65 inch and trying to set it up to the best way I can. Junction box is a bit closer than the cable supplied by Sky. Don't know exact distance but one same length would do or slightly shorter.

Putting ethernet cable (standard Cat5e) between the Hub and the television rather than using WiFi may well be beneficial.

The speed of FTTC is directly related to the 'phone line' distance from the fibre cabinet to the subscription address: any internal cabling between Openreach socket and Hub is of negligible length compared to that, and 'better' cable would almost certainly make no difference at all.
