Lost connection to 2 of 3 Sky Max Pods
Had my broadband upgraded from Copper to full fibre today. My network consists of the fibre max hub & 3 Sky max pods. Since the connection this afternoon, only one of the three Sky Max Pods is connecting. I have lost connection to one in my kitchen/sitting area & one in my gym which is a stand alone building in my garden, roughly 25m away from Kitchen. The pod on my landing is working fine. The hub had to be moved as Sky said it was not feasible to run new cable to where it was situated in my hallway under stairs next to Kitchen entrance. After looking at help guide, I have moved pod in kitchen closer to hub but this has not helped. Hub is now in lounge on a large marble top with no obstructions near it, it's actually more accessible than when it was under stairs. My WiFi was working fine, even down in gym so I'm very frustrated that by upgrading to full fibre has actually had a massive detrimental effect on my WiFi coverage. Also, My Sky App seems to have updated itself & no longer shows the individual pods and info of which devices are connecting to them... I am a very unhappy man... had anyone experienced anything similar & can advise... thanks in advance, Gezza

Re: Lost connection to 2 of 3 Sky Max Pods
@GKHS the pods require a good 5GHz connection to the hub to operate correctly and need placing no more than halfway between the hub and where you need the signal. While they can be daisy chained that is not reccommended as it affects speed and latency. You can ask Sky to send out an engineer to optimise your new set up but be warned the pod in your gym is outside what Sky WiFi Max offers as that only covers WiFi in rooms in your home.
The best solution for out buildings where Ethernet cabling has not been run is powerline networking that uses a pair of adapters to connect using the mains wiring.. These kits are not expensive and arecprettybreliable and can be boughtvwith built-in WiFi access points.

Re: Lost connection to 2 of 3 Sky Max Pods
Hi Chrisee, my issue is that they all worked fine on Sky Broadband before the changeover... so your points may be valid for some situations, they are not for mine. Also, since I posted last night, the pod on landing has failed and that is literally above the Hub and the signal has to travel through a bog standard plasterboard ceiling and floorboards, a distance of approximately 4m! I've spoken to Sky this morning and someone will be contacting me to arrange a visit in next 72hrs.
I've also asked why I can no longer see my Sky Max Pods on the My Sky App...until yesterday, I could see which ones were in operation, which devices were connected to them... I could turn them on or off... nothing now...and the Sky customer agent couldn't tell me why this had happened! I am seriously considering moving to a new broadband provider...
