Losing email after box upgrade

My mother has broadband, mobile phone, Sky Go with her Sky package. A few weeks ago her Sky box stopped working and Sky replaced it with a new updated one. Since then her Hotmail mail app is no longer working on her mobile, which it was doing until the upgrade. I tried everything to get it working but nothing so in the end, in desparation I uninstalled Hotmail on her phone and tried to reinstall it. I get an error message: Couldn't verify account. Incorrect server address entered or server requires protocol version not supported by email. 

 

A week after this she had her broadband upgraded to fibre to the house and since then her Hotmail on her laptop is also not working, whereas it was fine till the upgrade and even after the new box put in. I have tried everything to get an answer including ringing Sky who couldn't sort the problem. Help!

Since the fibre upgrade have you set up

her phone and laptop again as it she will have a new WiFi password on her broadband hub.

I haven't set them up since the broadband upgrade as the Sky engineer didn't mention we needed to.  They seem to be working ok for internet etc. Is it settings that I need to go to? Thanks

I have managed to get Hotmail set up at last on my mum's mobile by going into the settings and matching to details on the Samsung page. Thanks
