Line down

This morning at around 07:00 a truck took all of the overhead lines on our street down, incluidng our Sky Fibre broadband, I have been trying since 08:00 to report this and no matter what approach I take I end up going aorund in a circle with no actual means to report a fault. Is there not a number I can call or SMS or even a Website  to report a line down fault?

If the lines are in a dangerous position you should be able to report directly to Openreach

https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/damage-health-and-safety

otherwise this link

https://www.sky.com/help/home
Click on the ‘Need More Help’ area after ensuring the correct flag (UK or ROI) is displayed in the bottom right corner which should lead you to a number. Don’t forget if you have Sky Mobile or Sky Talk you can use the free 150 number to call.

Typically that kind of outage will not require individual reporting to an ISP to get the Openreach repair process moving, but it might be worth doing so in order to ensure you qualify for compensation if service isn't back by Thursday.

Should have mentioned in the original post that I am in the ROI

@Clonhaston

Are you @RideOnMower and for some reason logging in under a second tag name?

You seem to have managed now. I don't know the ROI set up so use this link:

Re: Line down

Thanks for that I reported to the Eir site and they will come out, but they will only take away the broken cable, they told me I need to report it to Sky to get them to log a call with Eir to get it fixed, so I still need to find a means of contacting Sky, which I have now been on for the best part of a day with no success

Re: Line down

The more help and then something else options got me to speak with a person and get the fault logged.

Thank you
