Late engineer

Just wondering if anyone has a number or email I can contact the openreach engineers on.  My appointment was to be between 8am and 1pm but no one has arrived yet (nearly 1:30). Sky has been useless and say they can't contact the engineers and I may have to reschedule. The work has been outsourced to MJ Quinn Integrated Services.

@PaPlum  No, you can't directly contact an OR or their contractors, if they don't arrive youll need to speak to Sky to reschedule.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@PaPlum

Most likely reason is a previous job overrunning. If no show this afternoon then see the 'reschedule' section in this link

Re: Late engineer

Sky were unable to help, they can't contact the contractors.   In my case,  I was able to track down the contractor MJ Quin and call them directly.  Not the most satisfying of experiences.  Ended up arriving 3 hours later than the slot, no apologies, no updates and two further missed promises of arrival times.  Such a shame that they can't get this fundamental process right after doing this for 37 years.

SKY, we all understand things don't go to plan, but at least sort out the communication and we'll far less frustrated with you.

@PaPlum the issue is the engineers are not controlled or arranged by Sky. MJ Quin will be working for Openreach or City Fibre who own the network.  Openreach operate independently of ISPs so there is no contact point with the engineer booking system except where the engineer is coincidentally employed by Sky. Sky have a deal with Openreaxh where some of their engineers are trained to complete the work on Openreach's behalf. Getting a Sky enginerr is down to availability which is limited.

Re: Late engineer

I understand.  Surely with technology and ease of communications these days, it's not rocket science to coordinate and communicate with a customer.  They were spot on at the point of sign up.
