Lag/ping issuses
I've had sky a few months now and I pay for the 500mb package. I have never ever had internet this bad with lag not even in the days of the copper wires. I am very very unhappy with it and wish I didn't take out the contract as with my other providers who had less speeds I never had problems like this. Since I'm now stuck with it for a year and a half is there any tips on how to halo with this?

Re: Lag/ping issuses
@Ryand2606 the most common cause of high ping/lag is down to wifi interference within your home. These days it is really common and while you can try rebooting the hub to get it to use a better WiFi channel if you are gaming use ethernet which is immune. Powerline networking is also a possible solution. Otherwise the issue can be caused by multiple simultaenous users on the connection as the Sky hubs don't offer QOS prioritising gaming traffic
If you want to check the line for issues set up a monitor here https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality which will graphically show if the line is suffering from packet loss etc which should be highlyy unlikely on full fibre connections.
