Issues with Internet & Wi-Fi

Can anyone help. We have on-going issues with our Internet & Wi-Fi. Our Sky Box is hard-wired back to our router. We have an ongoing issue with both wi-fi and the hard-wired sky box losing connection. Sky have not been very helpful. They say there are no issues but there definitely are. Am I right in thinking as the Sky Box is hard-wired back to the router it isn't a wi-fi issue - it's a problem with the router. It always shows 4 green lights even when non-one can connect to phones / tablets or laptops and the Sky Box shows in settings it's not connected. Help please.....
