Hi,
I wonder if anyone would be able to help me, before I spend an age trying to get through to Sky on the phone.
I have Sky Ultrafast broadband at home, and have historically been very happy with my broadband speed. For the last few months I've started to have more disruption to my broadband, with slower speeds and intermitent wifi, which is affecting my ability to hold Teams calls etc when working from home.
I've tried resetting my router (several times) relocating anything around the router that may be interferring with the signal, and have had my work laptop checked out to make sure there is no issue with the kit or software.
I've also split my broadband channels so that the 2.4G & 5G signal are separated, and my work laptop is the only device connected to the 5G signal.
When everything is working fine, I get speeds of over 120Mbps. However, what I am seeing is that the wifi signal strength keeps dipping, which causes everything to freeze, and then takes a minute or so to 'reset' itself. This happens several times a day, but there doesn't appear to be any pattern or obvious reason for it.

I’m having the exact same issue, started three days ago, I've been through all the self help tutorials but to no avail.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDo you have Sky Q and are you using any Sky boosters/3rd party extenders?

@jamesn123 I have a sky q box in the living room, connected via Ethernet to the router. I also have a mini box in our kitchen, connected over wifi. No 3rd party equipment.
One thing I'm trying to rule out is the potential that our ring doorbell (connected via wifi) is somehow interfering with our signal. The doorbell is connected to the 2.4G network, and my laptop is on the 5G network. I've just today assigned a fixed ip address for the ring doorbell, as I read on another forum it might cause issues when uploading the video content it's captured. Haven't had a chance yet to monitor if this improves things.
