Is this a scam?
Hello
I was contacted yesterday on my mobile by a man saying he was from Sky and that my Broadband needed upgrading. He said he wanted to make an appointment to fix it. Do you think it is genuine or just a scam? Would an engineer ring and make the appointment himself and would he need to come into my home?
(I'm not allowed to put the number he called from on this message)

Re: Is this a scam?
Individual installers wouldn't get in touch that way, but an ISP might do so as part of the national rollout of FTTP.

As with all cold-calls, an abundance of caution is advisable.
