Internet speed

My router works fine and has high internet speed in the living room where is it located however it is not the speed that it is in the living room if i am upstairs or even outside it is very slow it seems the router is no good for 5-10meters away

Hi I have the Model SR203, i am new to Sky, having been a Vergin customer this is really good however in the living room anything at a distance the speeds drops.

@Rashid01 That is about what the SR203 is good for distance wise and depending on the home construction 30foot and you seriously start to drop the speed, your only option is to get some wireless boosters installed that will be happy to work with your devices and the SR203 hub, powerline will work but not great for speed, or you could install a small mesh system depending on your needs. The SE210 boosters work with that router if you wish to look online for some second hand ones. Expect half the speed as that is how they work.

Thank you Jim thats really helpfull i will try with the booster i am more worried about the CCTV network i have around the house signal not the best and they take long time to load. The booster might be the way forward for the time being.

@Rashid01 Sky used to do the SE210's but not sure you can get them now from them, was a £4 extra boost package years ago but they are all about the Max now, which may not be the way for you to go. Two versions SE210 with an ethernet port, and a SE210a without the ethernet, they are all serial numbered and do show up with the sky service checker software...
