I have a problem with my Internet. I have just had a phone call with somebody saying they are from sky saying they want my account details and my sort code number. I presume this is a scam and they have found out that I have got a problem with my Internet please could somebody contact me as I need to sort the Internet and I need an engineer. I've done the troubleshooting and it's not working

@Hayleyupton16

Certainly a scam, Sky wont ask you for bank details when dealing with a support call, they also wont call you out of nowhere.

Additionally nobody will contact you from this forum post, you'll need to contact Sky yourself by calling 150 from your Sky landline or using the 03 number which can be found at https://sky.com/help

Nope: the criminals cold-call a huge list of automatically generated numbers and use a script which has been written to lead the recipient into believing they are being contacted because of a specific issue.

"We see you've had a problem with your internet "  tends to get either no response (in which case the scam isn't going to work) or willing agreement and an easier victim.
