Internet not working

The Internet is not working and when it does it cuts out after an hr

I have the same problem. Done all the tests they tell you to do online and apparently my broadband is working even though the light is red on the router. Also rang sky and he got me to hold the wps button until light went green to do a reset on the router but internet didn't even last an hour this time
