Internet not working

My internet is not working, tried turning it on and off again, unplugged it all and re plugged it in. Three green lights and amber light on voice but not connecting to my phone, laptop and as a smart home everything is not responding.

Tested the connection and according to the test it's ok, but yet here I am with no internet having to hotspot to work from home?!

Re: Internet not working

I'm having the exact same issues. Just keeps saying all connections are fine but ring doorbell won't connect which is a pain along with all phone devices.

Re: Internet not working

Same problem here. My phone will connect to the Sky network but says 'No Internet' despite the test showing all fine. My kids have been complaiining about it for months. At first I just thought it was me being a tech-no-clue, because I'm also having trouble with the same phone connecting to the internet through O2 mobile data. For the amount Sky fleece me for, I expect better...

Re: Internet not working

Firstly the tests that you can run on the web to check your connection are not real time and it will only report the status when it last did a check which can be hours or a day ago.   So don't rely on that.  There are a lot of broadband issues meaning even if it reconnects it may not be for long.   Try turning the hub off then on (Not as op suggests).  Leave off for a few minutes and then power it up.  Depending on the fault this will force a reconnect at the remote end.   However if it is a problem with the remote end then it may not be stable.

Why sky don't update that there are local issues is wrong.  I'm in chesterfield if it helps. There is definitely a local issue.

Re: Internet not working

I have exactly the same issue (I'm near Gravesend in Kent) Broadband lost connection at 3.54am this morning according to an alert that appeared on my phone and it's not come back since.

All Amazon Alexa's are still responding, called SKY 150 after rebooting everything myself, they got me to reset the router, said they did some tests and then said I need an engineer appointment, the earliest of which is next Tuesday ! It seems that my paying for Sky Broadband Boost for the last four years actually makes no difference to the speed of call-out so guess I can safely cancel that once this is resolved.

Re: Internet not working

There are a number of people who have all the lights on their router green, except the voice light which is orange. It's to do with equipment at Sky's end with addresses. The disconnections occasionally wouldn't be so bad if it reconnected again so all devices are online.

I have heard a new firmware update can help with the issue, but as I have left Sky I don't know if it's been sent out yet. If it hasn't I won't be coming back any time soon! 🙂
